The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express (train number 22812) was going through Bokaro, Jharkhand, on Tuesday evening when a tractor smashed into a railway gate close to the Santhaldih railway crossing, preventing a serious train accident, a railway official said.
The tractor became caught between the railway track and the gate during the event, which happened at the Santhaldih railway crossing, close to the Bhojudih railway station.
At the Santhaldih railway crossing of the Bhojudih railway station in the Bokaro district, a tractor struck the closing railway gate. However, the train’s driver engaged the brakes, and the train came to a stop, preventing a serious accident, according to Manish Kumar, DRM for South Eastern Railway’s Adra Division, who spoke to PTI.
According to Kumar, the event happened at around 5 o’clock, and the train was delayed by almost 45 minutes.
He claimed the gateman had been suspended, the tractor had been seized, and a first information report (FIR) had been filed at the relevant police station.
