New Delhi, Feb 6 (IANS) A 30-year-old man, who was stabbed by an unidentified person, succumbed to his injuries during treatment in west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area.
The events took place overnight between Sunday and Monday.
According to police, Punjabi Bagh police station received a call about the stabbing of a person near Pillar No-191, Rohtak Road, after which a police team was rushed to the spot.
“The injured was taken to hospital. He was identified as Monu, a resident of Mangolpuri, who worked in a shoe factory,” said a senior police official.
Initially, due to the nature of the injuries, a case of attempted murder was registered. “However, the victim expired during treatment on Monday night, after which a murder section has been added,” the official said.
“Several teams from the police station and special staff have been formed to work on the case,” added the official.
