Rajasthan Minister Ashok Chandna appealed to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday to relieve him of his ministerial duties and hand over all of the state’s departments to Kuldeep Ranka, Gehlot’s chief secretary.
Chandna resorted to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction. ‘Honourable chief minister, I have a special request for you,’ he wrote. Free me from this tyrannical ministerial position and assign all of my departments to Kuldeep Ranka ji, who is already the minister of all departments. Thank you very much.’

In the Rajasthan government, Chandna is the minister of sports and young affairs, skill development, employment, entrepreneurship, and disaster management and relief.
Ganesh Goghra, the Congress’s leader, quit last week.
Despite being a ruling party MLA and the state head of the Youth Congress, he said the local administration and officers ignored him and silenced his voice.
BJP president Satish Poonia responded to this by tweeting, ‘The ship is sinking…The patterns for 2023 have started arriving.’
Political upheavals in the state bureaucracy are a cause for concern, especially with the Rajya Sabha elections approaching, when every vote counts.
