According to police, a charge has been filed against an unnamed individual for reportedly threatening senior Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) politician Abhay Singh Chautala over WhatsApp.
According to them, the INLD leader’s personal assistant complained about this on Tuesday at the Jind police station.
“The complainant said that on a WhatsApp call on Tuesday, the INLD leader was threatened. His personal assistant received a call from a foreign number, according to Jind Sadar SHO Sanjay Kumar.
He stated, “A complaint has been filed against the unidentified accused under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
The matter is being investigated, Kumar responded when questioned about the nature of the threat. The call originated from a foreign number.
The MLA representing Ellenabad, Abhay Chautala, is the younger son of Om Prakash Chautala, the leader of the INLD and a former chief minister of Haryana. He is currently travelling the state on a “Parivartan Padyatra”.
On Wednesday, he claimed that the padyatra must have troubled someone, which is what caused the threat call.
The congressman continued, “I have no beef with anyone, and I don’t care about such threats.”
