Adani Total Gas inks pact with INOXCVA to strengthen LNG ecosystem in India

Ahmedabad, Feb 5 (IANS) Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL), India’s leading city gas distribution company, and INOX India Ltd (INOXCVA), one of the world’s leading cryogenic liquid storage companies, have have come together to boost the LNG ecosystem in the country.

The two leading companies signed a mutual support agreement, under which ATGL and INOXCVA will grant each other “preferred partner” status for the delivery of LNG and LCNG equipment and services to identify and explore potential opportunities for collaboration to strengthen the LNG ecosystem in the country. .

As “preferred partners”, ATGL will have certain inherent benefits at the project level, including preferential treatment to ATGL and access to advanced programming, and consideration of collaborative opportunities to establish LNG/LCNG stations, LNG satellite, the transition to LNG as a transport fuel. , LNG logistics, as well as the development of small-scale liquid hydrogen solutions for industry.

The mutual support agreement covers the role and obligations of both parties to take advantage of the experience of both parties to develop LNG infrastructure, including small-scale LNG plants, LNG stations, bringing economies of scale to to the conversion of heavy vehicles to LNG, developing good practices towards HSE. , fuel efficiency, conversion and high quality services.

Speaking on the collaboration, Suresh P. Manglani, Executive Director and Managing Director, ATGL said, “Air pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are on the rise. With the rapid ongoing industrial growth and the huge increase in heavy goods vehicles, The challenges will be even more formidable in the future.This partnership with INOXCVA will help ATGL drive the gradual transition of long-haul heavy vehicles, buses which currently use HSD/Diesel to LNG, thus helping to reduce CO2 and GHG emissions by more than 30%. It will also accelerate the establishment of LNG stations across the country to increase the confidence of fleet operators to adopt LNG as a transport fuel”.
