Amit Shah will arrive in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday night for a three-day tour, and authorities there have bolstered security in anticipation.

Both Tuesday in Rajouri, Jammu, and Wednesday in Baramulla, north Kashmir, Shah will deliver speeches.

At least two major terrorist attacks occurred in Jammu and Kashmir last week.

An official confirmed that drones are being used for aerial surveillance during the arrival of the Union Home Minister.

They said that the highways between Jammu and Poonch and Srinagar and Baramulla have been given extra police and paramilitary patrols.

Law enforcement and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have reportedly been sent to Srinagar and other parts of the Valley.

Extra patrols have been added, especially along the highway connecting Srinagar, Baramulla, and Kupwara, they reported.

Officials said, “Drones equipped with high-resolution cameras are keeping vigil at several sites.”
