Australian Open: Swiatek defeats Busca to reach Fourth round

On Friday, top seed Iga Swiatek reached the fourth round by defeating Cristina Bucsa 6-0, 6-1 on the Margaret Court Arena.

The world number one, who won the French and US Opens last year, finished the first set in 23 minutes.

World number 100 Bucsa had no response to Swiatek’s all-court game, and the Spaniard only avoided a “double bagel” by holding her last serve game.

After defeating Danielle Collins, Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina should challenge Swiatek in the last 16.
