‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ grosses over Rs 55 crore on its opening weekend

The horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani has made Rs 55.96 crore in three days that is Friday, Saturday & Sunday , according to the creators.

The film, which is a sequel to the Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan-starrer of the same name from 2007, was released on Friday.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2 opened to Rs 14.11 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 18.34 crore on Saturday.

The film’s opening weekend gross of Rs 55.96 crore was boosted by a Sunday collection of Rs 23.51 crore.

The film’s popularity has broken the Bollywood box office drought, which saw only two other Hindi films do well: Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in February and The Kashmir Files, which premiered in March.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2, directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Tabu, is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani.
