Despite this steep decline, Tesla CEO Musk remains at the top of the list, with a net worth of $212 billion.

The next person on the list is Jeff Bezos, the creator of Amazon, who has a net worth of $131 billion, which is roughly $90 billion less than Musk. According to the index, Bezos has lost $61.4 billion this year. According to Marketwatch, Amazon shares have dropped about 35% this year, following the company’s first quarterly loss in seven years last month.

Bernard Arnault, the CEO of Louis Vuitton, is the world’s third wealthiest person, with a net worth of $126 billion, down $52.5 billion this year.

Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, is no exception. According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the world’s fourth richest person has lost $20,7 billion this year, bringing his net worth to $117 billion.

To far, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google have lost approximately $27 billion each.

As per the ranking, 10th placed Steve Ballmer, who served as Microsoft CEO from 2000 to 2014, to has lost almost $15 billion since 2022 began.
