BJP appoints Union ministers to oversee the RS elections

BJP named Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as its in-charges for the Rajya Sabha elections in Rajasthan and Haryana, respectively, two states where party-backed independents are expected to make a strong showing.

The party has named Ashwini Vaishnaw, a Union minister, as the in-charge of the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra, another state that will be contested. G Kishan Reddy, a Union minister, has been named in-charge of the Karnataka elections.
