Gita Press was given the Gandhi Peace Prize on Monday, and Union Minister Jitendra Singh blasted the Congress for its criticism of the decision, claiming that only those who view the Muslim League as a secular organisation have a problem with it.

In response to inquiries at a news conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Singh stated that Geeta news is affiliated with Indian culture, our ethos, and Hindu belief and that it provides inexpensive literature that reaches every home.

Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary in charge of communications for the Congress, claimed on Sunday that awarding Gita Press the Gandhi Peace Prize was a “travesty” and was equivalent to giving Savarkar and Godse the distinction.

Singh said when asked about Ramesh’s comment, “And, who are those hurling allegations? The Muslim League, according to them, was secular.

The Muslim League is responsible for the two-nation idea, the division of India, and taking credit for the founding of Pakistan, according to the Union minister. The Congress apparently forgot this.

He asserted that engaging in these disputes was a complete waste of energy. He was making reference to Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, who claimed that the Muslim League is a wholly secular party with no non-secular elements.

Rahul Gandhi was responding to a query regarding the partnership between his party and the local party. After that, the BJP attacked him, claiming that the Kerala party was motivated by the same principles as Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s All India Muslim League.
