Sharad Pawar, president of the Nationalist Congress Party, had a visit on Wednesday from Ashish Shelar, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mumbai unit and an MLA.
But it was impossible to know what happened during the meeting.
The two leaders’ meeting is significant since Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, is due to meet with the NCP leader in the city on Thursday.
In order to help the Aam Aadmi Party battle against the Centre’s legislation on control of services in Delhi, Kejriwal met with the president of the Shiv Sena-UBT on Wednesday.
Although Shelar and Pawar are affiliated with different political parties, they have worked together to control the Mumbai cricket boards and the sports governing body.
