On Sunday, Arjun Singh, a BJP MP in West Bengal, returned to the Trinamool Congress, ending weeks of speculation about whether he would join the Trinamool.
TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee welcomed Singh to the party at his office in Kolkata.
“Welcoming Shri @ArjunsinghWB, the Barrackpore MP and former vice president of the @BJP4Bengal, to the All India Trinamool Congress family.
The TMC’s official Twitter account announced that he had arrived “in the presence of our national general secretary Shri @abhishekaitc.”

A prominent Hindi-speaking leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Singh, joined the saffron camp just before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and won the Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat.
