Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece was defeated by World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in a lopsided quarterfinal match to advance to the French Open semifinals.
The 20-year-old, who overcame the World No. 5 in straight sets in 2 hours and 12 minutes, advanced to his first French Open semifinal and will now face Serbian legend Novak Djokovic, who defeated 11th seed Karen Kachanov in four sets in the semifinals.
On June 9, the rising talent will compete against the 22-time Grand Slam champion for a spot in the French Open Finals.
