Chennai Customs seizes a wild life from a Bangkok traveller

Customs agents at Chennai Airport detained a tourist from Bangkok who was transporting live animals unlawfully on August 11.

The officials claimed to have acquired intelligence regarding a man traveler arriving from Bangkok on airplane TG-337 with live animals.

One De Brazza’s monkey, fifteen King snakes, five Ball pythons, and two Aldabra tortoises were taken from the traveler once they apprehended him.

The authorities claimed that the live animals had been brought in unlawfully and that they had been returned to their place of origin via Thai Airways after speaking with Animals Quarantine & Certification Services (AQCS).
