CM Arvind Kejriwal & Mann meet Uddhav Thackeray

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, and Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, met with Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), on Wednesday at the latter’s home in Mumbai.

As the Delhi CM tweeted on the meet,

Last night, the two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders landed in Mumbai. Earlier on Tuesday, as part of their nationwide journey to rally support for the AAP’s opposition to the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in Delhi, Kejriwal and Mann met with Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, in Kolkata.

Banerjee gave Kejriwal the assurance that her party will assist him in his opposition to the national ordinance that would have restricted the recruitment and movement of officials in Delhi.

The Rajya Sabha vote on a bill to make the central ordinance into legislation will serve as a semi-final before the 2024 elections, the Delhi CM told reporters on Tuesday.

Uddhav Thackeray stated after meeting Arvind Kejriwal, “We have come together to defeat those against democracy.”
