Cong to meet with President regarding Agnipath withdrawal

congress protest agneepath

Ajay Maken, the general secretary of the Congress, announced that the party will perform a Satyagraha at Jantar Mantar on Monday to protest the President’s decision to continue the Agnipath recruitment program.

Ajay Maken of the Congress said, “We’ll have a Satyagraha at Jantar Mantar today, and in the evening at 5 o’clock we’ll meet the President and demand that the Agnipath project be dropped.”

He contends that prior to implementation, the plan needs to be reviewed with the young.

“The program should be abandoned before it is discussed with kids and in Parliament,” he continued.

In opposition to the “anti-youth” Agnipath program and the federal government’s “vendetta politics” against party leader Rahul Gandhi, who is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, Congress members will organize “peaceful” protests across the nation on Monday.

Ajay Maken continued, “We will also tell the President about the harassment of our MP and the abuse of ED.
