According to officials, the Delhi Commission for Women has requested that a FIR be filed against people who harassed, assaulted, and threatened to rape and assault cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister.

Following the game, some people on various social media platforms harassed and abused Gill and his sister.
According to the DCW notice, “These posts on the social media sites ‘Twitter’ and ‘Instagram’ are exceedingly abusive, threatening, and misogynistic towards the sister of Shubman Gill. Additionally, she is receiving explicit threats of rape and abuse on social media.
It said, “This is a very serious matter that warrants urgent action.”
DCW president Swati Maliwal shared the notification on Twitter and requested that police provide a thorough report of their actions by May 26.
