When the Jayeshbhai Jordaar trailer was released, Ranveer Singh shared his wife Deepika Padukone’s reaction. Ranveer plays a Gujarati man who fights for the safety of his pregnant wife and unborn child in the film.
His wife Deepika Padukone’s reaction to Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar character was revealed in an interview by the actor. The actor portrays a man who fights to protect his wife and unborn daughter from the patriarchal forces in the upcoming comedy-drama.
He made it clear to Pinkvilla that he valued Deepika’s input and that he appreciated her candor. The trailer for Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer said, reminded him of a conversation he and Deepika had after watching 83.
Deepaka can be brutally honest, according to him. She always tells me the truth, and I can always trust her. And because she’s someone close to me, when she gives me a compliment, it hits me differently.”
A few days after the release of 83 and the trailer for Jayeshbhai, she said something that resonated with me. She said, “Man, I haven’t seen this in a long time.” What you’re doing is a first because you’re mainstream, but you’re still able to come up with unique characters time and time again. I can’t think of any other mainstream actor who has the ability to go so deeply into character, yet remain completely mainstream at the same time. It’s as if, upon first glance, there is nothing there. ‘You’ve taken it to an unprecedented level,’ he said. When she saw my avatar as Jayesh after Kapil, she told me the same thing she had previously told me.
Also, Ranveer expressed his gratitude for the way his career has unfolded and the films he has been a part of over the years. Alaudin Khilji, Simmba, Gully Boy’s Murad, and 83’s Kapil Dev were some of the characters he spoke about. Earlier this year, she starred in the critically acclaimed but divisive film Gehraiyaan.
In addition to Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah, Jayeshbhai Jordaar also stars Cinemagoers can look forward to Divyang Thakkar’s directorial debut of the film on May 13.
