Diljit, Parineeti get into 'Chamkila' mood on Kapil's show: 'I'm not one I was 6 yrs ago'

Mumbai, April 8 (IANS) The makers of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, on Monday, shared a new promo of the show, welcoming the cast of the upcoming movie ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.

The show is hosted by stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma and will air on Netflix on Saturday at 8 a.m.

The video shared on social media, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, along with director Imtiaz Ali, begins with Kapil saying: “Give a big round of applause for Diljit, Parineeti and Imtiaz Ali.”

Referring to Parineeti’s husband and Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, Kapil said: “Raghav rajneeti karte karte, Parineeti Parineeti kabse karne lag gaye?” (When did Raghav start doing Parineeti, Parineeti?)

The video also featured Diljit singing a song and there is a glimpse of whisper challenge between the guests.

In addition to this, Imitiaz is seen saying: “Punjabis usually are in the mood in the evenings.” To which Diljit replied: “Usually people are in the mood in the evenings.” Kapil added to it: “Punjabi got offended, and now look at him defending.”

Sunil Grover is seen entering the stage dressed in a saree and singing. To which Kapil said: “Must be difficult being a girl and singing in a man’s voice.”

Referring to the fight between him and Kapil six years ago, Sunil replied: “Now I am not the one I was six years ago. Now I know how to retaliate, okay?”

Diljit, however, appreciated Sunil’s singing, and said: “The tune is definitely a hit.”

'Bigg Boss OTT 3': Sai Ketan breaks down in front of Deepak Chaurasia; recalls getting Rs 100 for short film

Mumbai, June 23 (IANS) ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ contestant and TV actor Sai Ketan Rao opened up about his life struggles inside the house during a conversation with journalist Deepak Chaurasia, recalling how he received just Rs 100 for a role in a short film.

In a video shared by the show’s makers on Sunday, Sai, who is known for his roles in TV shows ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali’ and ‘Imlie’, became emotional while speaking with Deepak.

Sai is seen crying in the video and saying to Deepak: “2016 me maine ek short film kia tha… hero ka bhai tha main (In 2016, I did a short film in which I played the role of the hero’s brother).”

Sai was referring to the 2016 Telugu short film ‘Devil in Disguise’.

The actor then continued, “Rs 100 mile the mujhe or is pure time me struggle kafi tha. Hamari situation bahut hi kharab thi… maine sab kuch kho dia… paise kho diye opportunities kho diye, My father was never there in my life (I got Rs 100 for my role in the short film. There were a lot of struggles. Our situation was very bad… I lost everything — money, opportunities, etc. My father was never there in my life).”

Deepak replied sympathetically, saying, “So sad,” to which Sai further added, ” Unhone hame chodh dia (My father had left us).”

The video ends with Deepak consoling Sai, saying, “Don’t cry.”

The post is captioned: “Hero ka bhai tha, 100 rupay mile the – Sai Ketan gets real about his life struggles.”

‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ is streaming on JioCinema Premium.

Meanwhile, Sai has been featured in TV shows like ‘Chashni’ and ‘Agni Sakshi’, and web series such as ‘The Baker and the Beauty’, ‘Aham Bhramhasmi’, ‘Love Studio’, ‘Beyond Breakup’, and ‘Three Half Bottles’.

'Bigg Boss OTT 3': Housemates wake up to energetic beats of 'Udta Punjab' on Sunday

Mumbai, June 23 (IANS) It’s a relaxed Sunday morning at the ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ house on the second day, with contestants waking up to the energetic beats of ‘Udta Punjab’.

The visuals show social media influencer and YouTuber Armaan Malik hugging his second wife, Kritika Malik.

Armaan is participating in the controversial reality show along with both his wives, Payal and Kritika.

Television actress Sana Makbul and the famous ‘Vada Pav’ girl Chandrika Dixit also grooved to the track.

However, it will be interesting to see whether the day will remain smooth and easy or if there will be any storms on the horizon.

On day one, the audience witnessed actor Ranveer Shorey criticising social media influencer Lovekesh Kataria’s behaviour over a rationing issue. Tension flared in the house during a discussion about dividing food between vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Ranveer asserted his right to take his share according to his needs, but things got heated when Lovekesh approached the ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’ actor too closely. Ranveer replied, “Be in your limits. I’m double your age; so, don’t cross boundaries.”

Day one also featured a heated debate task, with journalist Deepak Chaurasia stepping into the judge’s chair.

The house was split into two rival teams: Lovekesh, Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat, and Armaan on one side, while Ranveer, social media influencer Sana Sultaan Khan, and TV actor Sai Ketan Rao on the other.

During the debate, Sana accused Armaan of portraying himself as a husband rather than an individual.

Day one also included a special Tarot card reading for Armaan by astrologer Munisha Khatwani.

Other contestants in the show include TV actress Poulomi Das, rapper Naved Shaikh a.k.a. Naezy, social media influencer Vishal Pandey, and YouTube sensation Shivani Kumari.

The show, hosted by Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor, is streaming on JioCinema Premium.

Mumbai, June 22 (IANS) Mannara Chopra, who impressed fans with her time on ‘Bigg Boss 17’, said she will miss Salman Khan in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ although new host Anil Kapoor has got his own vibe.

Talking about Anil Kapoor replacing Salman Khan as the host of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, Mannara said, “I will miss Salman Khan who has always been my mentor. Even when I was coming out of the House on the final day, he gave me such amazing tips. I will definitely miss Salman Khan, but we cannot deny the fact that Anil Kapoor has got his own vibe.”

‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ kicked off on Friday with Mannara going live for the opening episode.

“I am looking forward to Anil Kapoor as the host. He is looking terrific, especially the way he is interacting with all the contestants and welcoming them in his own ‘Jhakass’ style… I have all the respect for him,” she said.

Sonakshi will not convert to Islam after marrying Zaheer Iqbal, says groom's father

Mumbai, June 22 (IANS) Ahead of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding on June 23, the actor’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, shared that the actress will not be converting to Islam and that the couple will reportedly have a civil marriage.

According to media reports, Ratansi shared that the wedding will include “neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”

He also reportedly said in an interview that Sonakshi will not convert for sure, asserting that “religion has no role to play.”

Quashing all rumours about Shatrughan Sinha being upset with Sonakshi’s wedding plans, the veteran star finally made an appearance with Zaheer, who will soon be his son-in-law.

The two posed for the paparazzi, with Zaheer and Shatrughan first smiling and then posing outside the building.

Shatrughan also gave his blessings to his soon-to-be son-in-law.

After seven years of dating, Sonakshi and Zaheer will be getting married on Sunday, followed by a celebration at actress Shilpa Shetty’s luxurious restaurant, Bastian, in Mumbai.

The story revolves around a peculiar ritual that requires the opening of the smaller door of each house on Tuesday evenings. Failing to follow this rule invites the wrath of Kakuda, who punishes the man of the house.
