HC permits Sisodia to visit his house to see his ailing wife

The Delhi High Court on Friday gave Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia permission to visit his unwell wife at his home on Saturday.

Sisodia is currently being held in connection with suspected irregularities in the city government’s excise policy.

Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister, is permitted to see his wife from 10 am to 5 pm, and Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma ordered the Tihar Jail Superintendent to transport him to his home.

The high court made it plain that Sisodia cannot communicate with the media, anyone save his family, or use the phone or internet.

The court ordered that the petitioner be escorted to his house tomorrow from 10 am to 5 p so that he can meet his wife.

In the money laundering case brought by the Enforcement Directorate, the high court was considering Sisodia’s applications for regular bail and interim bail while keeping its decisions on hold.

Sisodia has asked for temporary release on bail due to the declining health of his multiple sclerosis-stricken wife.

The high court further ordered the ED to confirm the medical records of Sisodia’s wife and requested that it provide a report with favourable findings by Saturday night.

The high court has continued to consider the interim bail request in the CBI case involving alleged corruption.
