IMD: Orange alert for MP & gives a 24-hour rainfall forecast

IMD MP forecast

The regional meteorological service of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday issued an alert with a warning of ‘heavy to very heavy rainfall’ in portions of the state for the following 24 hours due to the two days’ worth of nonstop rain in Bhopal.

The India Meteorological Department has stated that during the next two to three days, Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan are likely to continue to see severe rainfall activities associated with the low-pressure region.

The monsoon pattern, which is traveling over Kota, is rising up to the pressure area, which is causing a lot of cloud formation in Madhya Pradesh, according to scientist SN Sahu of the Bhopal Meteorological Centre, who was speaking to ANI.

Rainfall totals for the past 24 hours include 66 mm in Pachmarhi, 69 mm in Raisen, 887 mm in Ratlam, 16 mm in Bhopal, 27 mm in Indore, and 35 mm in Guna,’ he continued.
