Two local terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday, according to authorities.
An encounter broke out late Monday night in Rajpora in the Awantipora region of Pulwama district after security forces conducted an anti-militancy operation, according to a police official.
During the gunfight, two local militants were killed. He said the scene of the encounter yielded two AK weapons as well as incriminating evidence.
The deceased duo were involved in killing civilians, including a government official, according to Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar.
