In Uttar Pradesh, “Samrat Prithviraj” is declared tax-free

Yogi Adityanath, who attended a special screening of the period action drama “Samrat Prithviraj” with his cabinet colleagues, proclaimed the film tax-free in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.

The film was screened at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, female lead Manushi Chillar, and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi in attendance.

The chief minister stated, “I announce that the film will be tax-free in the state.”

Adityanath arrived late for the screening since he was in Kanpur Dehat to monitor the preparations for President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visits on Friday.

The screening was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh, J P S Rathore, A K Sharma, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and others.
