Is there a temple beneath the Mangaluru mosque?

On Tuesday, Section 144 was imposed within a 500-meter radius of the Malali Juma Masjid in Mangaluru.

Section 144 will be in effect from 8 p.m. on May 24 to 8 a.m. on May 26 according to Mangaluru officials.

On April 21, a Hindu temple-like architectural design was uncovered beneath an old mosque on Mangaluru’s outskirts.

The issue arose during remodeling work at the Juma Masjid in Malali, on the outskirts of Mangaluru.

The mosque authorities were in charge of the renovations.
