IT department searches homes connected to three BRS MLAs

On Wednesday, investigators from the Income Tax Department searched businesses connected to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLAs P Sekhar Reddy and M Janardhan Reddy as well as MP K Prabhakar Reddy in Hyderabad and other places in Telangana.

Sources claim that the I-T officers searched to confirm the tax payments made by the MPs’ and MLAs’s enterprises.

According to media sources, I-T searches may have also been carried out at a few of Janardhan Reddy’s commercial centres, who represents the Nagarkurnool assembly constituency.

Sekhar Reddy is a Bhongir MLA, while Prabhakar Reddy represents Medak in the Lok Sabha.

The Medak MP meanwhile criticised the raids as being politically motivated while speaking to the media about them. The searches are being conducted to damage the BRS party’s reputation before the elections.
