KK’s family and Mamata pay their last respects

At Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, the relatives of singer KK paid their last tributes to him. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has already paid her respects.

KK’s body was transported from the SSKM hospital in Kolkata to Rabindra Sadan.

At Rabindra Sadan, the West Bengal government will salute him with a gun salute.

KK’s body will be returned to Mumbai by his family

The West Bengal government fired a gun salute to the mortal remains of famed Bollywood vocalist Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known as KK, on Wednesday.

The late singer’s body was kept at Rabindra Sadan for some time, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who oversaw the ceremonies, paid floral tributes to him.

Banerjee was seen comforting KK’s wife and other members of his family who were present at the event.

An official said the 53-year-old singer’s body was carried to Rabindra Sadan after a post-mortem examination earlier in the day at the state-run SSKM Hospital.

He stated his mortal remains will be carried to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and given to his family, who would then fly to Mumbai with the body.

Doctors at the hospital where KK was taken ruled him “brought dead” after he “became unconscious” upon his return to a hotel from a concert on Tuesday night, according to authorities.
