Kshama Bindu weds herself, perhaps The First Sologamy Shaadi in India

Kshama Bindu, 24, vowed to sologamy on June 8 when she married herself in a one-of-a-kind ceremony in front of her family and friends.

Kshama’s original goal was to marry on Saturday, June 11 in a temple in the presence of a priest. She, on the other hand, chose to marry on June 8 at her house in Gotri.

‘I had no desire to marry.’ I did, however, want to be a bride. As a result, I decided to marry myself,’ Kshama, a student at Vadodara’s Maharaja Sayajirao University, told The Times of India.

All of the pre-wedding rituals were performed by Kshama. She even organized a haldi and mehndi ceremony, just like a conventional bride-to-be.

The bride wrote on Instagram, “Khudpe haldi lagi to sawar gai mai, Khudse ek rishte me kal bandh gai mai…”

Kshama’s closest pals were present at the pre-wedding festivities.

‘Mehndi rach gai, Mai is ring me utar gai…’ ‘Mehndi rach gai, Mai is rang me utar gai…’ Kshama expressed her want to share photos from her mehndi ceremony.

Kshama’s choice to marry herself was welcomed with predictable and tiresome criticism on social media, despite the fact that sologamy is a novel idea and there is no legal provision that guarantees marital status.

To new beginnings and becoming a trend-setter! Kshama is seen here applying sindoor like a bride-to-be.

Isn’t this bizarre, yet true ?
