Lalu Prasad, a former chief minister of Bihar, celebrated his 76th birthday in Patna by cutting a cake in front of his loved ones.
At 10 Circular Road, the former chief minister of Bihar Rabri Devi’s official residence, where Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the deputy chief minister, and Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya, who had given the RJD leader a kidney, were present, Prasad cut the cake on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, welcomed the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and wished him a long and healthy life.
Since he got a successful kidney transplant in Singapore in December of last year, Prasad is now having a birthday celebration in Patna.
According to RJD state spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan, the party is also planning comparable events at the panchayat, block, and sub-division levels throughout the state.
In other states with RJD members, mass feasts are being planned. Party members give out fruits to underprivileged hospital patients and stationery to pupils from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
