Made in India Dornier-228 takes to skies

In the history of India’s civil aviation, the Dornier-228 took to the skies on its maiden commercial flight from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh on April 12.

An aircraft built in India and operated by Alliance Air on Tuesday became India’s first commercial airline to use it for civil purposes.

The armed forces have been using Dornier-228 aircraft up until this point.
