Nadal & wife Mery reportedly expecting their first child

Mery Perello, wife of tennis player Rafael Nadal, is expecting their first child.

The first to report it was the Spanish magazine HOLA!, which was followed by other media including the daily El Mundo.

Along with a report showing the 33-year-old displaying what appeared to be a baby bump under her bikini on board the boat where she and the 22-time Grand Slam winner are on vacation, it stated the tennis player’s wife was pregnant.

The announcement follows heated rumours that Nadal’s childhood sweetheart, who began dressing in looser-fitting clothing and wore a face mask during the last Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid, was pregnant.

The tennis player and his wife, who dated for 17 years before getting married in October 2019 at a British-owned fortress in Mallorca, have not yet made any comments.

At the French Open 2022, Rafael Nadal won his 14th championship and 22nd Grand Slam title, gaining two Slams on his rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.
