Naresh Tikait, the national president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, came to Haridwar on Tuesday.

Wrestlers had assembled there to immerse their medals in the Ganga as a show of defiance against WFI president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over charges of sexual harassment.

Tikait demanded a five-day time from the wrestlers in exchange for their medals.

Olympic medal-winning wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat travelled to Uttarakhand’s Haridwar on Tuesday evening to immerse all of their medals, including their Olympic medals, in the Ganga as a symbol of their protest against Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

They have accused him of sexual harassment and are demanding his arrest.

There is a huge crowd in attendance as the wrestlers are shown huddling together to immerse the medals they have worked so hard to earn.
