Paris Saint-Germain crushed Clermont Foot 6-1 on Saturday, with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar each scoring a hat trick to help the club inch closer to the Ligue 1 title.

Mbappe and Neymar both scored in the second half to help PSG to a 2-1 victory against Lorient. Mbappe now has 20 goals for the season and has helped PSG reach 71 points from 31 games. They are 15 points ahead of Stade Rennais, who are in second position.

Clermont’s Jodel Dossou halved the deficit, but they are still 17th on 28 points after their fifth straight defeat.

After a 3-2 away win over Stade de Reims earlier in the day, Rennes are now ahead of Marseille on goal difference.

After a dismal first half, Paris St. Germain (PSG) triumphed over Clermont Auvergne.

Having been set up by Lionel Messi, Neymar sent a low cross into the bottom corner to put them ahead after six minutes.

Additionally, Mbappe’s 19th-minute half volley from the penalty spot was set up by Messi, who set up the goal.

Saif-Eddine Khaoui’s cross was met by Dossou, who sent a right-footed penalty into the back of the net just before halftime for Clermont.

During the second half, Paris St. Germain was unstoppable.

After Mbappe was fouled in the penalty area in the 72nd minute, Neymar converted the spot kick to make it 3-1. Two minutes later, the France international added a fourth after being set up by Neymar and tapping the ball into an empty net.

Six minutes later, Mbappe was again at it, this time curling a shot into the top corner after a wonderful combination between Messi and Neymar.

Neymar scored the game-winning goal with seven minutes remaining after Mbappe raced into the box and threw the ball to him.
