NZ PM Hipkins travelled to Papua New Guinea only to meet PM Modi

New Zealand PM Chris Hipkins travelled to Papua New Guinea specifically to meet PM Modi as a warm and unique gesture to India.

There have been rumours that Kiwi Prime Minister Chris Hipkins will postpone his travel to Papua New Guinea in response to US President Biden’s cancellation.

Kiwi Chief Hipkins did, however, make sure to stop by Papua New Guinea to confirm his private discussions with PM Modi.

Prime Minister Modi spoke with the Prime Minister of New Zealand about a range of topics, including business and trade, education, and many more.

In light of the continuing debt ceiling talks in Washington, President Joe Biden postponed his trips to Papua New Guinea and Australia.

While this is going on, PM Modi continues to be more ‘popular’ than other well-known leaders.

On May 21, PM Modi arrived in Papua New Guinea, where PM James Marape touched his feet and asked for his blessing. The third India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit was co-chaired by PM Modi.
