France’s Peace Tan defeated British opponent Katie Boulter 6-1, 6-1 in just 51 minutes as she continued her impressive Wimbledon debut.
The 24-year-old Tan demonstrated that her exciting victory against seven-time Wimbledon winner Serena Williams in the first round wasn’t an aberration, and she has now won three straight Tour-level matches for the first time in her career.
Tan stated on the court, “No, I don’t believe it yet. If I sleep a little bit, tomorrow maybe I will believe it, but it’s great.
“I think I prefer grass. I’ve never played on this court, but I like to use my slice and volley and other moves, so I’m really delighted.”
After the first round against Serena, it was only a matter of playing each match, and today’s tennis was incredibly strong.”
