According to authorities, a Pakistani drone carrying a payload was shot down in the Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday immediately after crossing the International Border into India.
In the morning, a police search party detected the movement of a drone from the border in the Talli Hariya Chak region, which is under the jurisdiction of the Rajbagh police station, and fired at it, according to a police spokesperson.
According to him, the drone was shot down after being damaged by ground fire.
“It has a payload attached to it, and the bomb disposal squad is screening it,” the official stated.
He went on to say that the search party was despatched to the region to look for regular drone activity from the other side of the border.
