In the women’s vault final of the artistic gymnastics competition at the Commonwealth Games on Monday, India’s Pranati Nayak came in fifth.
The 27-year-old West Bengali gymnast, who has two bronze medals from the Asian Championships in 2019 and 2022, averaged 12.699 points at the Arena Birmingham after scoring 13.633 on her first attempt and 11.766 on her second.
Pranati, who qualified with a score of 13.275, received penalties of 0.1 and 0.3 on her two attempts.
Georgia Godwin of Australia won the gold medal with a score of 13.233. Laurie Denommee of Canada (13.233) and Shannon Archer of Scotland (13.083) earned the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
