In an effort to increase tourism, Sri Lanka has asked Bollywood superstar Rajinikanth to visit the nation.
Rajinikanth was invited to a meeting by Dr. D Venkateshwaran, the deputy high commissioner (DHC) of Sri Lanka, who met the actor on Monday at his home in Chennai.
The DHC said that Rajinikanth’s presence to the island nation will increase “cinema induced tourism as well as spiritual and wellness tourism” in a statement published on Instagram.
“As a legendary figure, Mr. Rajinikanth’s magnetism will enhance historical relationships and strengthen the link between the two places. Additionally, DHC personally asked him to visit the “Ramayana Trail,” which is only available in Sri Lanka, as well as other important Buddhist sites there, according to the statement.
