During a farmers’ organisation function at the Gandhi Bhavan in Bengaluru on Monday, miscreants splashed ink on farmer leader Rakesh Tikait.
Conflicts erupted between the organisers and the miscreants shortly after the incident, with both sides assaulting each other with plastic chairs.
Tikait reacted to the incident by alleging that the ink attack on him was carried out in collusion with the state government.
“The local police are to blame, and it happened with the government’s knowledge,” Tikait told reporters.
His turban, face, Kurta, and green scarf around his neck were all covered in black ink.
