On June 18, a first-look poster for Ranbir Kapoor’s next movie Shamshera, appeared online just as the actor was about to start promoting it after his return from Spain.
Ranbir’s rough persona from Shamshera is undeniably a success on Twitter, even though it was undoubtedly not as the producers or the actor would have preferred.
The movie’s director, Karan Malhotra, has since continued to comment on the online leak of Ranbir’s poster.
“We keep organizing our life so that we land things at the best time, but in doing so we forget that the Universe is always on time,” Karan stated in a statement to The Times of India.
These kinds of incidents are a good illustration of that. I’m just pleased that Ranbir Kapoor’s appearance and the “Shamshera” image are so well received by the public.
He said, “We wanted to launch our campaign in the middle of the next week, but it appears that fans couldn’t wait for us to do so. They are not to fault. They’ve been waiting too long. It’s hard to contain the excitement as Ranbir makes his cinematic comeback after four years. Just the positive responses make me happy.”
