Sisodia’s temporary bail will be decided by the HC tomorrow

In a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy fraud, the Delhi High Court will issue its ruling on Manish Sisodia, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, on Monday.

Sisodia is requesting interim release for a period of six weeks.

The former deputy chief minister of Delhi has asked for a temporary release on the grounds that he is the only person taking care of his unwell wife.

The high court is currently hearing his request for standard bail in this case.

Sisodia, who was detained on March 9 in connection with a complaint made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), is currently being held in judicial custody.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma will deliver the decision on the interim bail application.

It was reserved on Saturday when Sisodia’s attorney claimed that in accordance with the court’s orders issued on Friday, the AAP leader was taken into custody to meet his wife earlier that day, but before he could get home, her health had deteriorated and she had been taken to the LNJP Hospital.

Due to the potential for tampering with the evidence, the ED has opposed the request for interim bail.
