SpiceJet says it was hit by ransomware on Tuesday night, causing flights to be delayed on Wednesday morning.
“An attempted ransomware attack hit several SpiceJet systems last night, affecting and slowing down morning flight departures today (Wednesday),” a SpiceJet representative stated.
According to the spokeswoman, the airline’s IT team has contained and resolved the issue, and flights are currently functioning properly.
