Thousands of fans came to the streets of Ahmedabad on Monday as the Gujarat Titans had a victory parade on an open-top bus to commemorate their title victory in the IPL’s inaugural season.
As they soaked up all the love from their fans, the Gujarat Titans players wore dark blue t-shirts and blue denims.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel hosted and congratulated the newly crowned Indian Premier League champions.
‘Had the opportunity to speak with players from the IPL 2022 champion Gujarat Titans. They gave me a bat with all of the squad members’ signatures on it. The earnings will be utilized to fund the education of the state’s girls. ‘Congratulations to everyone involved,’ the chief minister wrote on Twitter.
The Titans defeated the Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in the IPL final on Sunday, capping off a dream season by becoming the first side since the Royals in 2008 to win the championship in their debut season.
On Tuesday, the team will go to Mumbai, where the owners will throw a party to commemorate the victory.
સૌ ખેલાડીઓને ખૂબ-ખૂબ અભિનંદન. pic.twitter.com/gxXYycIO0l
