Tom Hanks & Meryl Streep To Star in “The Circle.”

This will be the first time that the two Hollywood Greats Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep will be acting together in a movie, ‘The Circle’, under the able hands of the Great Steven Spielberg.

Tom Hanks will reprise the rule of Benjamin Bradlee and Meryl will play Katherine ‘Kay’ Graham.

The movie will be defend the media and showcase the heroic side of the journalism as reported by Deadline. The movie will revolve around an incident involving these two for their role in leaking the classified Pentagon documents in 1971 to the media. It was a big news at that time as Pentagon Papers were a classified U.S. Department of Defense history of the United States’ political-military involvement in Vietnam from 1945 to 1967.

The papers were first released by Daniel Ellsberg, however he gave a portion of the papers to Bradlee to publish and obviously he obliged with his request. so when US Attorney General at that time William Rehnquist asked Post to cease the publication. These guys refused to do that and were taken to court.

The script is written by Liz Hannah ans the rights for the film is bought by the Pasal Pictures. Liz sounded excited when she broke the news on Twitter, “This is, without exaggeration, a dream come true.”

The film will also star Emma Watson, Bill Paxton, and Karen Gillan which is slated to release on April 28.
