Trailer for Rosaline Shows Romeo’s Ex

The official trailer for Rosaline, starring Kaitlyn Dever as Romeo’s enraged ex-girlfriend, has been posted to Hulu. As on the 14th of October, you can watch the movie online.

Rosaline, played by Dever, is devastated by Romeo and Juliet’s new relationship, especially because Romeo has just confessed his love for her. Rosaline has a plan to separate the doomed couple in an effort to win back Romeo.

Karen Maine directs Rosaline, which was written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and was inspired by Rebecca Serle’s “When You Were Mine.” Bradley Whitford, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Kyle Allen, and Sean Teale also star.

It’s a comedic spin on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, told from the point of view of Romeo’s current flame, Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Dever). After Romeo (Allen) falls for Juliet (Merced), Rosaline (Rachel) becomes distraught and plots to get him back.
