Film trade experts expect Vijay’s Beast to bring in Rs 40 crore on its first day of release in Tamil Nadu.
The highly anticipated Beast, starring actor Vijay, will hit theatres on Wednesday. Despite the fact that the film will be released on a non-holiday mid-week date, it is expected to break box office records in Tamil cinema.
On its first day of release, Beast is expected to bring in more than Rs 40 crore in Tamil Nadu.
Beast is going to break all box office records in Tamil cinema, and that’s a consensus among us.” Vijay’s star power is to blame. I recently calculated the film’s opening-day revenue with the help of a few other producers. On its opening day alone, this film is expected to gross at least Rs 40 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. Vijay’s previous records will be shattered with this haul. Sarkar, his most recent film, had the highest opening-day gross to date, and it was released around Deepavali. Film producer G. Dhananjayan said, “But this is not a holiday release.”
The box office numbers may rise as the week progresses if Beast is well-received by audiences and critics. A “monstrous start” at the box office was also predicted by film producer Girish Johar.
A “MONSTROUS START AT BO” for #Beast Feedback from pre-screening audiences has been outstanding as well. Setting the BO on fire (sic),” he wrote in a Twitter message.
In terms of the Hindi-speaking region, it’s not clear if Girish’s prediction only applies if Beast does well at the box office there, or if it also applies elsewhere. In the north Indian market, the makers of Beast did not conduct extensive advertising campaigns. Many prominent Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan, have endorsed Beast’s Raw translation in Hindi.
A look at early reports suggests that Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is on track to take over theaters in north India thanks to the makers’ aggressive marketing campaign.
Pooja Hegde plays the lead role in Beast, which Nelson also wrote and directed.
