Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists all commemorate it as a holiday in Nepal, India, and Bhutan.

According to the Hindu calendar, Guru Purnima will begin on July 12 at 2:35 a.m. As a result, Guru Purnima will be observed on July 13th.
