Wrestlers to throw their medals in Ganga today at 6 o’clock

wrestler protest delhi

The wrestlers who are protesting WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over charges of sexual harassment have stated that they will throw their medals into the Ganga in Haridwar today at 6 o’clock.

In photographs that should have embarrassed a government, Delhi police apprehended several wrestlers on Sunday as they marched towards the new Parliament building, including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia.

The police evacuated the demonstration location and dispersed the demonstrators after launching a crackdown on them.

Despite numerous appeals, the Delhi Police yesterday helped the demonstrators break the law, which is why their demonstration at Delhi’s designated protest location, Jantar Mantar, was put to an end.

They claimed that thus far, the elite grapplers’ sit-in protest was proceeding without incident. The claim that the wrestlers engaged in rioting or other acts of violence has been denied by the wrestlers.
