On Sunday, June 18, Drisha Acharya, the great-granddaughter of Bimal Roy and the granddaughter of Basu Bhattacharya, married Karan Deol, the grandson of Dharmendra and the son of Sunny Deol.

At the Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai, where the wedding celebrations took place, the bridegroom and his family made a grand entrance with the baarat.

You are my today and all of my tomorrows, Karan wrote in a post including photos from his wedding. the start of a lovely adventure in our lives. We are incredibly appreciative of all the blessings and well wishes we have received.

Karan and Drisha may be seen seated at the mandap in the photos.

The bride, Drisha, looked stunning in a patterned red lehenga, while the groom was attired in an off-white sherwani with a matching turban.

Sunny looked stylish wearing a red turban and a green kurta.

He said, “Today I gained a beautiful daughter,” along with photos. You are blessed, Bachas. God bless you.

White with a red turban was Uncle Bobby Deol’s colour of choice. At his grandson’s wedding procession, grandfather Dharmendra was spotted dancing.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, directed by Sunny Deol, was Karan’s Bollywood debut in 2019.

Donald Glover announces The New World Tour dates, releases new version of studio album ‘3.15.20’

Los Angeles, May 13 (IANS) Hollywood multi-hyphenate Donald Glover has dropped a new version of the surprise release of his studio album ‘3.15.20’ under its original title ‘Atavista’.

He also announced the dates for ‘The New World Tour’, a massive trek through North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, launching in August, reports ‘Variety’.

He also released a video for the album’s song ‘Little Foot Big Foot’, directed by Hiro Murai, featuring Young Nudy. He will follow with what he says is the last instalment of the Gambino project, which will serve as the soundtrack to his film ‘Bando Storm and the New World’.

As per ‘Variety’, The album features guest appearances from Ariana Grande, Kadhja Bonet, 21 Savage and Ink.

Donald Glover produced the album with a range of collaborators including DJ Dahi, longtime producer Ludwig Goransson, Chukwudi Hodge, Kurtis McKenzie and James Francies, Jr.

The original release took place in the first days of the pandemic, when Glover quietly posted it on a website without song titles, playing on a constant loop, before removing it around 12 hours later.

The following week, he officially released it without fanfare or even detailed credits on streaming services.

7 films from India set to make a mark at 77th Cannes Film Festival

Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is set to be held in the French Riviera from May 14 with India set to make its mark on the canvas of the prestigious film festival, considered to be one of the biggest film festivals in the world.

Seven films from India will be a part of the festival. One of the films, and India’s big hopes comes in the form of the Malayalam film ‘All We Imagine As Light’.

The film, directed by Payal Kapadia, will be screened at the festival on May 23.

‘All We Imagine As Light’ follows the story of two roommates who serve as nurses at a hospital. How love and self-discovery bring about a change in their perspectives forms the crux of the story.

The film will be the 1st Indian film in the main segment (Palme d’Or) of Cannes, the last was ‘Swaham’ which was released in 1994.

Another film to be screened at the festival is ‘Santosh’. The film is directed by British-Indian filmmaker Sandhya Suri and will be screened at the Un Certain Regard section of 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Santosh stars Shahana Goswami in the lead role and follows the story of a newly widowed woman who inherits her husband’s job as a police constable in rural northern India.

Then there’s the Kannada short film ‘Sunflowers Were The First Ones To Know’ which will be screened under the Cinéfondation or La Cinef section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by FTII student Chidanand Naik.

The Smita Patil and Naseeruddin Shah-starrer ‘Manthan’, which was released in 1976, is set to be screened under the Cannes Classics selection. The film also starred Girish Karnad and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

Actress Radhika Apte’s film ‘Sister Midnight’ too has been selected under the Directors’ Fortnight category at the Cannes Film Festival, this year.

The film, directed by Karan Kandhari, is about a wife who navigates the challenges of married life in a slum. Having suffered oppression, she aims to seek revenge.

‘In Retreat’, directed by Syed Maisam Ali Shah, tells the story of a man who returns to his hometown after many years. The film is set to be screened under the Association for the Distribution of Independent Cinema Section.

The final film on the list is ‘The Shameless’ directed by Bulgarian director Konstantin Bojanov.

The film’s story is set in India, and it has been shot across Nepal and India.

‘The Shameless’ follows the story of Rani, an Indian sex worker, who goes on a pilgrimage to a remote temple, where she confronts her past, including a love affair, who is imprisoned for murder in Bangalore.

The film will be screened under the Un Certain Regard section.

Los Angeles, May 13 (IANS) Actress Rumer Willis has shared an adorable video on Instagram featuring several snaps and clips of her baby girl Louetta.

Her Reel included an array of shots of her baby bump while she was pregnant, as well as some selfies and sweet family moments of her dad Bruce Willis and her mom Demi Moore holding the little one, reports ‘People’ magazine.

The actress wrote in the caption, “Oh my girl. Being your mama is the greatest hurt in the whole entire world. You are my everything. Becoming a mother has been the portal I always knew it was and yet so much more than I ever imagined.”

As per ‘People’, the actress welcomed her first baby with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas in a home birth on April 18, 2023.

She further mentioned in her note: “Growing you in my belly and watching you grow this last year has been the privilege of my life, my tiny tender, strong, hilarious, fiery, wild child you and the sweetest most loving being I have ever known. It is such a gift to be loved by you and I know I’m not the only one who feels it. Everyone who meets you is completely taken with you and can’t believe how magic you are.”

Sharmin keeps comments disabled, but shares 'Heeramandi' BTS pictures

Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece and ‘Heeramandi’ actress Sharmin Segal on Monday posted BTS pictures of her tucking into a slice of pizza on the set of the opulent musical.

Her Comments section, though, continues to be disabled. She had done it after being attacked for her indifferent acting in the OTT series, where she played Manisha Koirala’s screen daughter Alamzeb.

In the BTS pictures, Sharmin is seen gorging on a pizza, vibing with her co-stars and playing with a puppy.

She wrote in her caption: “1+2: Pizza is the best food. @aslisona 3: Farida ma’am always rocking 4. Sisterhood @aditiraohydari 5. Motherhood @m_koirala 6. The best person I know @segalsimran 7. Music is essential 8. Rani the Best Heera Puppy 9. Once a costume AD, always a costume AD 10. Fida fan for life!! @fardeenfkhan @hemachoudharyy”.”

Looking back at the three years she spent working on the series, Sharmin added, “Soo many memories made in the last 3 years! It is impossible to fit it all into one post! So many people that have been so supportive and kind.”

Sara Ali Khan twins with her 'soul sister' as they visit Delhi's Bangla Sahib Gurdwara

Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) The Gen-Z actress Sara Ali Khan on Monday paid a holy visit to Bangla Sahib Gurdwara in Delhi, along with her bestie.

Sara, who last featured in the movie ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, took to Instagram Stories, and re-shared the post of her best friend Sara Vaisoha, where we can see the duo twinning in white ethnic suits.

Vaisoha took to her Instagram Stories section and dropped the pictures from their visit to the Gurdwara. She wrote: “Twinning with my soul sister forever Sara Ali Khan”.

The ‘Kedarnath’ fame diva shared the picture on her account and gave the tune of ‘Satnam Sri Waheguru Eheee Naam Hai’ to the post.

On the work front, Sara last featured in ‘Murder Mubarak’.

She next has ‘Metro… In Dino’, ‘Sky Force’, and ‘Eagle’ in the pipeline.
