After returning from Namibia, S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, emphasised that Project Cheetah has become a “new symbol of friendship between India and Namibia.”
After his visit to Namibia was over, Jaishankar stated, “There is so much that unites India and Namibia today, and in many ways, perhaps an agile, fast-moving animal that is equally at home in both societies is an appropriate symbol of what awaits us in the future.”
Additionally, he added, “There was definitely a lot of curiosity in India regarding the relocation of Namibian Cheetas to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.
However, it has also played a significant role in Namibia’s public dialogue, as I learned when I visited. The foundation of every relationship, according to Jaishankar, is human interaction.
